8. Timing

8.1 Timing will take place at distances where it is marked accordingly.

8.2 A timing chip is used for timing, which is given to the participant along with the starting materials.

8.3 The timing chip must be attached firmly and securely around the ankle.

8.4 The participant is responsible for attaching the timing chip, and if the chip is lost on the course, the organizer cannot guarantee the participant’s result.

8.5 If the chip is lost on the course, the participant must notify the organizer upon reaching the finish line.

8.6 The timing chip must be returned to the organizer at the finish line.

9. Starting materials and groups

9.1 Starting materials include a number vest and timing chip (both must be returned to the organizer at the finish line) and a Heroes Obstacle Race shirt (if previously ordered).

9.2 The distribution of starting materials will end 15 minutes before the respective start.

9.3 Entry to the starting area begins 10 minutes before the start.

9.4 The starts take place in waves, about 75 people at a time.

9.5 The starting groups are formed based on the results of previous races. This includes placing the expected strong runners in the first starting group.

9.6 The remaining participants will be randomly assigned to starting groups (except for teams, which will be placed in the same starting group if possible).

9.7 The winners will be determined for both distances only among the starters from start group 1. This clause does not apply to the team competition.

9.8 Starting from the wrong starting group will result in the result being cancelled.

9.9 To change your starting group, please contact: sekretariaat@seiklushunt.ee.

10. Rules

10.1 The participant must wear the number vest in a visible place, i.e. on top of their clothes, throughout the competition. It is also allowed to wear it on the bare torso.

10.2 The number vest must be returned to the organizer at the finish line.

10.3 Shoes with spikes/studs are prohibited in the competition.

10.4 The trail must be followed according to the markings (tapes, signs, etc.).

10.5 In case of improper passage of the course (e.g. cutting, skipping obstacles, etc.), the organizer has the right to cancel the participant’s result.

10.6 If you cancel, you must notify the organizer at the competition center and return the timing chip and number vest. If you are unable to return to the competition center (e.g. due to a health problem), you must notify the course officials.

11. Obstacles

11.1 All obstacles must be passed in a given order.

11.2 The obstacle must be completed according to the obstacle instructions and the instructions of the judges.

11.3 There is no limit to the number of attempts to pass an obstacle. For each subsequent attempt, you must go back to the end of the waiting queue (if one has arisen).

11.4 If you fail to pass an obstacle, you must perform an alternative option – depending on the obstacle, either astronauts, push-ups, or an additional lap.

11.5 The obstacle is completed when the participant touches the bell with their hand at the end, crosses the marked line, or receives appropriate approval from the judge.

11.6 If obstacles are intentionally broken, the organizer has the right to remove the participant from the course.

11.7 More detailed rules and explanations of technical obstacles can be found in the lexicon of obstacles.

12. Violation of rules and protests

12.1 Protests regarding competition results, violations of competition regulations, etc. must be submitted to the competition organizer at the competition center (secretariat). Violations recorded by spectators must be in a reproducible form.

12.2 The protest must be submitted in writing. Protests can be submitted up to 30 minutes after the 3rd place finisher in each competition class for the first 10 finishers, and for the rest until 17:00 on the day of the competition.

12.3 The protest fee is €20, which is refunded only if the protest is upheld.

12.4 All protests related to competitions will be resolved by the competition organizer.

12.5 Cases not covered in these guidelines will be resolved by the organizer on an ongoing basis.

13. Team competition

13.1 The team consists of 3-5 members.

13.2 The times of the three fastest members of the team are added together and a ranking is drawn up based on this.

13.3 Team competition takes place in both the short and main race timed distances.

13.4 Pre-registration of teams will take place in the registration environment until midnight on Friday of the competition week.

13.5 On the day of the competition and the day before (Saturday-Sunday), there is an additional fee (5€) for registering teams and making changes. To register teams and make changes, write to:sekretariaat@seiklushunt.ee

13.6 When registering a team, all participants must be individually registered for the same event and distance.

13.7 In team competitions, the starting group is not important, i.e. members do not have to start from the same starting group.

13.8 Team competition has no series overall standings calculations.

14. Series overall standings

14.1 Series overall standings are calculated in all competition classes.

14.2 All competitors who have completed the same distance and participated in all stages throughout the series are automatically taken into account in the series calculation.

14.3 To form the ranking, the stage times are added up and the winner is the one with the lowest combined time.

14.4 In the event of a tie, the ranking will be determined by the time of the last stage.

15. Awarding

15.1 The award ceremony will take place on site at the competition center.

15.2 The top three in each competition class will be awarded, but the organizer reserves the right to reduce the number of winners if there are not enough participants in the competition class.

15.3 In the interests of fair play and clarity of the competition, the winners of the competition (those who reach the podium) will be determined only among the participants who started from the 1st starting group (except in the case of team competition).

15.4 In the team competition, the top three finishing teams in the short race and main race will be awarded at each competition.

15.5 In overall series standings, the top three men’s and women’s main and short races will be awarded, and only the winner in the remaining competition classes will be awarded.

15.6 The final award ceremony for overall series standings will take place immediately after the award ceremony for the last stage in the last competition.

15.7 Prizes will not be awarded retrospectively.

16. Rights of the organizer

16.1 The organizer has the right to make changes to these guidelines as necessary.

16.2 The organizer has the right to disqualify participants in the finish protocol who do not follow the event instructions or competition rules.

16.3 The organizer has the right to use photos and video recordings taken by the organizer at the event for marketing purposes.

16.4 Issues not covered in the guidelines will be resolved by the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee consists of the competition organizer, the timekeeper and the chief referee.
