Distances and courses
Headlamp is compulsory for everyone!
The length of the course is approximately 5 km. There are both natural and built obstacles on the course. The course is marked with arrows, ribbon and referees. The track is partially illuminated by the track lighting of the health trails and the additional lighting installed by the organizers at the obstacles, but you also have to run on completely dark trails!
To maintain obstacles in good health, it’s forbidden to use shoes with spikes.
Obstacles
Heroes Obstacle Race: Night Edition´s course is made of mainly fun and entertaining obstacles!
Some of the obstacles may be difficult (i.e plank walls) especially for women and shorter people. That is why we call up participants to help your co-participants and if needed, ask for help!
If you can not pass the obstacle you need to do burpees or push-ups. We really recommend to at least try the obstacle before choosing the alternative way. The course can be tough. In order to maintain good feeling and to enjoy the race, we recommend to start out slowly! If there is a queue or you can not pass a participant on a narrow way, please remain calm and polite. Ask the way nicely when it is possible to pass.
Safety
All participants take part on their own risk! Obstacles are built so that they would be challenging yet safe for the participants. Everyone has to assess their own abilities and make decisions on the trail based on that!
Start and finish
The start is a joint start. You can see your start number in the start protocol and you can see the start time in the schedule at the beginning of the additional information.
All finishers will receive a participation medal and Värska Original sparkling or spring water.
