Starting materials
Competition materials (also rented SPORTident SI-cards) are available from the secretariat at the competition center. Please reset all SI-cards, including rented SI-cards, and check them when entering the start area! If the SI-card is not resetted the result is canceled.
Competition materials include bib numbers and wristbands for SI-cards. It is compulsory to use wristband with SI-card!
Blue wristband is meant for rented SI-card and yellow for personal SI-card. It is recommended to tape the wristband to prevent breakage. To speed up the distribution of starting materials, we ask you to check your team number in advance from the start protocol.
With an emphasis on recycling, we ask participants to bring their own safety pins to attach their bib numbers. After the finish, safety pins can also be left in the box at the secretariat to be recycled.
Map
Additional info will come on the week of competition.
The map is printed on waterproof paper. The hiking trail is marked on the map with a dark red (transparent) thick dotted line.
If desired, the card can be placed in a card film. Each team will receive a card film along with the starting materials (the starting materials are inside the film).
We ask participants to adhere to the prohibition signs on the map, i.e. outdoor areas, private land (moss green) and other prohibited areas (purple vertical lines). This is to ensure the fairness of the competition and good relations with local residents and landowners.
NB! Rogain map does not reflect the permeability of the forest.
Course setter comments
Info will be added on the week of competition
Rules and prohibited areas
- It is prohibited to enter the restricted areas marked with a red line on the map and the outdoor areas and courtyards marked with olive green. We respect the privacy of other people.
- It is prohibited to cross impassable fences, walls, and impassable hedges marked on the map.
- It is not necessary or permitted to climb over any high fence, wall or other obstacle. This could potentially be harmful to health and/or violate the interests of private property owners.
- Crossing bodies of water marked with a black shoreline on the map is permitted at certain stages. Please refer to the additional information/course setter comments for the respective stage for adequate information.
- By participating, all competitors undertake to comply with the requirements set out in the Traffic Act and are responsible for their violation in accordance with the procedure provided for by law (including in the event of accidents)!
GPS tracking
To be added.
Start order
Receiving maps will take place according to the schedule. The maps are rolled up and placed on the ground according to the number of team members. Each team has one additional map for planning (except for the family class). After receiving the maps, you can plan away from the starting area (e.g. in your car), but you must not go onto the track.
All participants must be at the start area at least 10 minutes before the start. When entering the start area, the judges will check that all competitors have their SI-card attached to their wrist, resetted and checked. The result cannot be recorded without passing the control station!
Point system
All classes have the same checkpoints. The values of the points vary from three to seven. The value is indicated by the first digit of the point code (for example, 34=3 points and 56=5 points). Exceeding the control time is penalized by deducting points: -1 point for being up to 1 minute late, -1 point for every full minute overrun. Points taken after the control time is over are counted! If the control time is exceeded by more than 30 minutes, the result is not counted.
Addition
There are no drinking points on the trail – it is recommended to bring water with you.
After the competition
After finishing, please proceed to the results countdown immediately. Since most of the participants finish at the same time, there may be a queue in the countdown. We ask for your understanding.
Each finisher will receive Värska Original water and warm food at the finish line.
Washing and changing rooms
To be added.
Catering
Meals are served with RINGO reusable bowls and cups. Please put them in the right bag after eating and clean them of food waste beforehand!
HoneyPower gels and bars can also be purchased from the secretariat.
Luggage storage
There is luggage storage tent in the competition center where you can leave your personal belongings, car keys, etc.
Awarding
The top three teams in all main classes will be awarded. In the bike class, only first place will be awarded.
The winners of the family and hiking classes will not be awarded, but raffle prizes will be drawn among all teams that participated in the class (individual participants in the hiking class). The raffle prizes will be drawn when the participants have been sent to the course and the prizes will be collected after finishing!
In main classes the team will participate in all competition classes for which it meets the requirements. In other words – participants in the MM45 class can also make it to the podium in the men´s main class!
Prizes will be handed out only at the competition and not afterwards.
