Regulations of Orienteering Days: Spring 2026
A series of orienteering days in the city of Tartu and its surroundings.
Orienteering days every Wednesday from March to May: March 11th – May 27th.
Goal
Promoting healthy lifestyles for all age groups and families, bringing orienteering events closer to participants, providing orienteering education and instilling a habit of exercise in young people by offering them free participation, and increasing environmental awareness among participants!
Courses
The start is open from 15.00 to 19.00, finish closes at 19.30. You can start any time while the start is open.
- COURSE 1 – 4.5-5.5 km
- COURSE 2 – 3-3.5 km
- COURSE 3 – 1.5-2.0 km
- COURSE 4 – 0.8-1.2 km (pre-school children)
- FREE – distance by your own choice
Courses are within city of Tartu, on the streets, green areas, and in other public areas. Control points must be taken in an order specified on the map. In a case of not completing the whole course, results are considered in the course FREE. The SPORTident device / SI-card is used for timing.
Course 4 is intended for pre-school children, and is usually also possible to pass with a stroller or children’s bike. Course 4 does not cross busy streets.
Rules on the course!
- It is forbidden to cross objects (e.g. high fences, walls, flower beds or hedges, etc.) – marked with a thick black line or a thick green line.
- It is forbidden to enter the courtyards of private houses or institutions – marked with moss green.
- It is forbidden to mark a checkpoint through/over a prohibited fence, hedge, wall.
In case of violation of the restricted area, the organizer has the right to not allow the violator to start in the future!

Participants
Weekly orienteering events are for everyone! Everyone can participate alone or with friends, family etc.

Registration and participation fees
Registration at the event center from 15:00 to 19:00.
- Pre-school children FREE
- Students (age 7-19) FREE
- Pensioners 4 EUR
- University students 4 EUR
- Adults 8 EUR
Rent of a SPORTident device (timing device) – 1 EUR per participant (free for pre-school children).
If you lose an SI stick, you must pay either €30 for a regular stick or €75 for an AIR stick, depending on the model lost.
There is no registration fee for parents who go with children to Course 4. On the other courses parents need to pay for the ticket, if they want separate map!
Multiple access tickets
There is an option to buy a 6 or a 12 time ticket for reduced fee.
In case of SPORTident device rent, either 6€ or 12€ will be added to the price depending on the multiple access ticket.
12x ticket for adults is 80€ and for university students/pensioners is 40€.
6x ticket for adults is 40€ and for university students/pensioners is 20€.

- At the event center (both card and cash payments available).
Multiple access tickets are transferred to our systems, meaning no physical cards or items are given to the participant.
Unused tickets can not be used for the next season (autumn) events.

Invoices
If you wish to pay by invoice and/or invoice, invoices are automatically generated in the registration environment. At the end of the registration there is a box where you can fill in the details of the invoice recipient. You can pay there immediately with a bank link or based on the order confirmation (download PDF document) – the invoice will be generated after the payment has been made. The invoice can then be viewed by logging into the registration environment or by clicking on the link in the registration confirmation email.
For any concerns or exceptions, please write to: arved@seiklushunt.ee. Invoices will be issued up to 7 working days after the payment is made.
Results
Final results are according to the total time for completing the course; according to number of control points taken on the course FREE. Aggregated results are not calculated.
Every participant receives a result slip in the finish which provides individual splits for every control point and the total time. LIVE RESULTS: http://live.seiklushunt.ee/
Official results with the results of all course times will be published on our website by the midnight of the event day.
Prizes
No awarding.
Little prize is for every pre-school children.
At the end of the spring season, a small award will be given to everyone who has participated in at least 11 events.
Safety
Be cautious in traffic – the event takes place in the city where vehicles and other people are moving!
All participants have to obey the traffic rules!
All participants are responsible for their own safety!
According to the traffic law, everyone must wear a reflector during the dark! It is also strongly recommended to wear brightly colored clothing!
Additional info
On Monday of the event week, additional information about the event will be made public on the website.
Car keys, clothes, bags, etc. can be left at the bag drop tent.
From the organizers there is tea at the finish. The cups are reusable, please clean them after use and put back into right place!
By making a registration and paying the entry fee, the participant agrees:
- with the instructions and conditions set by the organizer;
- that his/her personal data is used in accordance with Estonian laws and regulations;
- that photographs may be taken of him/her at the event;
- that he/she is well trained and healthy to participate in the sport event.
Rights of the organizer
- The organizer has the right to make changes in the additional information that will be available at the beginning of the competition week.
- The organizer has the right to disqualify any participants who do not follow the instructions and regulations of the competition.
- The organizer has the right to use photos and videos taken during the event for its promotional use.
- If the event is cancelled due to conditions not caused by the organizer (Force Majeure), the participation fees will not be refunded.
- If a registered person is not present, the participation fee will be refunded.
- Questions which cannot be solved based on this guide will be resolved on an ongoing basis by the organizer.
