TrailHunt Vooremäe 1000+

Event description

TrailHunt (abbreviated as TH) is a curious animal whose special interest is genuine trails in the countryside and forests. TH values ​​pure nature and the positive energy of forest trails. Is there a TrailHunt in you?

TrailHunt Vooremäe 1000+ raises several questions for many:
Is 1000 meters of elevation gain possible in one run in Estonia?
Am I capable of it?
Is it harder to run uphill than downhill?
Is it really more enjoyable in the forest than on asphalt?
Come find the answer to these questions on November 7, 2026 in Vooremäe, Tartu County.

Competition center

Competition center is located at the new service building in Vooremäe (next to the sledding hill). There is a possibility to park in the parking lots of the health trails. Google maps link!

Distance and courses

The competition will take place on a ~14 km loop. The exact length of the loop depends on the conditions in the forest. The time and place of all those who complete at least one loop will be recorded in the final report.

1. The main distance of TrailHunt Vooremäe1000 is 42.2+ km (3 loops) and the vertical ascent during the entire distance is ~1500 m.
2. The second main distance is approximately 28 km (2 loops) and the vertical ascent during the entire distance is ~1000 m.
3. The third distance is ~14 km, which is run in one circle. There is also a hike class at this distance.

The Trailhunt Vooremäe1000 trails run along the Vooremäe’s marked health trails, forest paths and also other smaller trails. The trail is sometimes steep and technical. Everyone have to be careful on the ascents and descents, as several sections of the trail are covered with tree roots. We recommend wearing good off-road shoes (with good pattern and adhesion). It is not a city run and the organizer will do everything to make the trail markings clear and clearly visible to all participants.

Competition classes and hike

There are two classes at all distances – men and women. Hike class – one-way walking tour (14 km) without timing. Finishers are entered in the protocol in alphabetical order.

*People under 20 years old (incl.) and seniors from 60 years old. (incl.) get a 30% discount which will be calculated automatically when registering. Spots are limited!

The organizer has the right to allow some runners from their own team and/or supporters to participate in each race.

Invoices

If you wish to pay by invoice and/or invoice, invoices are automatically generated in the registration environment. At the end of the registration there is a box where you can fill in the details of the invoice recipient. You can pay there immediately with a bank link or based on the order confirmation (download PDF document) – the invoice will be generated after the payment has been made. The invoice can then be viewed by logging into the registration environment or by clicking on the link in the registration confirmation email.

Before start

Competition materials are available from the secretariat. Please check your starting number in the on-site protocol. Timing is done with a SI-card. All participants must attach the SI-card with a non-removable wristband. Wristband will be given from organizers with other competition materials. A numbered vest is used as a number and must be worn as the top layer of the clothing. There is luggage storage in the competition center where you can leave your personal belongings, car keys, etc. arved@seiklushunt.ee.

Non-participation and refund of participation fees

• If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond the control of the organizer (Force Majeure), the participation fee will not be refunded.
• If a registered competitor does not participate or withdraws from participation, the participation fee will not be refunded.
• The participant is allowed to find a replacement or sell their participation to someone else.

Service on the track

There is one catering point on the trail (which is covered 4 times in a 14 km circuit) where you can drink (water and coca cola) and have some snacks (raisins, gummies, pickles, sausage, bread, salt, banana) to restore energy reserves.

Timing

All participants must attach the SI-card with a non-removable wristband. Wristband will be given from organizers with other competition materials. The wristband must remain intact and around the wrist when it gets to the finish. There are 1-2 checkpoints on the trail where the SI-card registers the competitor’s passage and gives a signal (light and sound signal). To receive a correct mark from the checkpoint, you must pass within a maximum distance of 15cm from the timing station in the designated corridor.

Catering and washing

Meals are served with RINGO reusable bowls and cups. Please put them in the right bag after eating and clean them of food waste beforehand!

Each finisher will have Värska Original water and warm food at the finish line.

HoneyPower gels and bars can also be purchased from the secretariat.

There are changing rooms and saunas at the competition center.

Awarding ceremony

The organizers will reward the top three in each competition class (except the hike), but reserve the right to reduce the number of awardees if there are not enough participants in the competition class.

Other terms and conditions

• All participants participate in Trailhunt Vooremäe1000 at their own risk.
• Hiking or ski poles are allowed.
• The trail is marked with tapes and arrows. Participants must move only along the race track marked by the organizers. In case of intentional disregard of the course markings, the competitor will be disqualified.
• Participants have an obligation to behave with respect to others on the trail and to preserve nature. Throwing garbage on the track is strictly prohibited. Intentional polluters of nature will be disqualified.

Rights of the organizer

• The organizer has the right to make changes in the additional information.
• The organizer has the right to disqualify any participants who do not follow the instructions and regulations of the competition.
• The organizer has the right to use photos and videos taken during the event for its promotional use.
• If the event is cancelled due to conditions not caused by the organizer (Force Majeure), the participation fees will not be refunded.
• If a registered person is not present, the participation fee will not be refunded.
• Questions which cannot be solved based on this guide will be resolved on an ongoing basis by the organizer.
